Inclusive Language Style Guide now also available in Dutch
Good news! The University of Groningen’s Inclusive Language Style Guide is now available in Dutch. This guide offers practical tips to help you communicate in a more inclusive and thoughtful way, whether you're writing emails, teaching materials, policy documents or social media posts. The English version has also been updated, with new examples, terms and advice to reflect the evolving language around identity, diversity and inclusion.
Whether you're talking about students, colleagues or external audiences, language matters. The guide provides clear guidance on how to avoid stereotypes or unintentionally exclusive wording, and shows how small changes in language can make a big difference.
You can find both guides on resources page of the Diversity & Inclusion Office website.
