Seminar: Internship Experiences in Higher Education
Discrimination during internships receives relatively little attention in the context of universities. However, exploratory research by ECHO indicates that students at universities may also encounter undesirable experiences during internships and practical assignments.
During this seminar, organised by ECHO in collaboration with Universities of the Netherlands (UNL), students and professionals from research universities will come together to discuss internship experiences, existing interventions, and potential solutions. The programme includes a plenary session, workshops, and a panel discussion featuring representatives from the academic sector.
The seminar provides an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences and to explore how undesirable internship experiences can be prevented and addressed.
Who should attend?
University staff working at the policy, faculty, or programme level, as well as WO students with an interest in this topic.
Language: Dutch, with English translation during the plenary session. Workshops will be offered in both Dutch and English.
Registration: Participation is free of charge. Register via the ECHO website: https://echo-net.nl/seminar-wo-stages/
