Developing Across Differences Summer School 2026
From 6–10 July 2026, the fifth edition of the European Developing Across Differences (DAD) Learning Lab & Community Week will take place. This advanced, interdisciplinary professional development programme is designed for experienced practitioners and scholars — from across sectors and from Europe and beyond — who wish to further strengthen their expertise in intercultural communication, global learning, anti-discrimination and diversity & inclusion, and global competence.
Throughout the week, participants deepen their knowledge and practice in one or more of these four key domains. The programme combines high-level workshops, peer exchange, and community building, offering both conceptual depth and practical application.
Past participants have included corporate professionals, faculty and academic advisors, international education staff, government officials, NGO and non-profit leaders, and other multipliers committed to supporting diverse audiences and fostering sustainable, inclusive solutions in their own contexts.
The (visiting) faculty for 2026 includes Milton Bennett, Nadine Binder, Michaela Carrière, Darla Deardorff, Nene Molefi, Maja Nenadović, Mai Nguyen, and Annelie Wambeek.
The Learning Lab & Community Week is offered by the Institute for Developing Across Differences in collaboration with the University of Groningen (RUG).
