NRO Scholarship of Teaching and Learning grant

Through the SoTL grant, the Nationaal Regieorgaan Onderwijsonderzoek (NRO) provides an accessible opportunity for educators seeking to integrate insights from educational research and scientific literature into their teaching practices. The grant's objective is to promote evidence-informed practices in higher education, thereby enhancing teachers' investigative capabilities. Open to both junior and senior faculty members facing specific challenges, questions, or gaps in their teaching approaches, the grant offers a chance to explore relevant scientific literature for a more comprehensive understanding of their situations.

Each application can secure a budget ranging from €20,000 to €25,000, covering direct staff costs and project-related material expenses. Applications can span a duration of 12 to 24 months. The deadline for submitting letters of intent is December 14, 2023, by 14:00:00 CET, while the deadline for submitting full applications is January 18, 2024, by 14:00:00 CET.
