Confidential Advisor
The Confidential Adviser plays an important role in the integrity policy of the University of Groningen (UG). The Confidential Adviser is independent and does not report to any governing body within the University.
Students and staff can contact a Confidential Adviser if they experience unacceptable behaviour, including stalking, or unequal treatment. Staff members can also seek support in relation to workplace conflicts. In addition, both students and staff can ask for advice if they suspect wrongdoing or misconduct within the organisation.
The Confidential Adviser provides a listening ear, offers guidance and advice, and can support individuals in submitting a formal complaint or report. To carry out their role effectively and with due care, the Confidential Adviser has access to the information necessary for their work.
The Board of the University has appointed Stephanie Hoenders and Petra de Jong as Confidential Advisors. Their office is located at the Health, Safety and Environment Service, Visserstraat 47/49 Groningen.
