TOGETHER Goes Local ETN Contributes to First ENLIGHT Regional Academy
This week, the TOGETHER Goes Local ENLIGHT Thematic Network (ETN) participated in the first ENLIGHT European University Regional Academy in Gotland.
The aim of the Regional Academy was to bring together academics focused on education and regional stakeholders to identify local challenges and foster cooperation. As the TOGETHER ETN seeks to build on the TOGETHER Erasmus+ project by incorporating real local challenges into its digital game, the Regional Academy provided an excellent opportunity to present the project and gather input from regional stakeholders.
The ETN organized three workshops with local representatives from Gotland and fellow academics to explore complex local challenges. By facilitating discussions focused on identifying what makes these challenges particularly complex, the team collected valuable insights that will help shape the next stages of the project.
The workshops also highlighted the value of serious game development as a tool for facilitating dialogue around complex societal issues. As a result, one of the planned outputs of the ETN will be a workshop script designed to help local stakeholders identify challenges and begin developing potential solutions. The team looks forward to further refining this approach at the next ENLIGHT Regional Academy.
