Ant Lettinga

Ant Lettinga is senior researcher at the Department of Epidemiology (UMCG) and program manager of the niche-innovation experiment ‘Rehab-4-Life after Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)’. With a practical background  in physiotherapy  (graduated in 1977) and a master degree  in philosophy of science and medicine  (1989), she started to work as a university lecturer at the department of Human Movement Sciences of the RUG (1990 -2003). She combined her teaching work with a PhD position later on (defended 2000).  From 2003 to 2017 she has worked as a research and program manager  at the UMCG Center  for Rehabilitation, in which she created  a trans-disciplinary research environment for product en knowledge development in the field of (neurological) rehabilitation.  In her trans-disciplinary research she works at the intersections between theory, research and practice  on the one hand, and between the clinical and home environment  of rehabilitants on the other.  She has considerable  experience  with  qualitative research methodology, theory-driven program evaluation  and process-oriented action research.
