Z. (Zeinab) Sattari Najafabadi, MSc

Description: I am a spatial planner, policy maker and data analyst, who at the moment my research programme is called "Meaningful Mobility", which aims to improve the older adults' quality of life. In Iran, I studied and practised Urban Planning and Design, focusing on sustainable urban infrastructures and later I have been awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship to continue my studies in a double-degree MSc in Spatial Planning and Environmental Policy between the UK and the Netherlands. In my MSc thesis, I conducted a new Food-led strategy for urban transformation with the Health and well-being approaches.
My current PhD project focuses on the quantitative (GIS-based) analysis of the older adults' mobility patterns, indoor and outdoor, in various socio-cultural contexts. It will result in providing a novel policy-making tool for their well-being. Accordingly, I reckon that my experience in relevant multi-disciplinary fields and my personal interest in helping vulnerable people would help to enjoy the project and gain a significant result.
