Hi! I am Vera Nomden, a PhD student in the Department of Pedagogical and Educational Sciences – Child and Family Welfare at the University of Groningen. My research focuses on the impact of gas-extraction-induced earthquakes in Groningen on young people and family life. Over the course of two years, we are following 48 families who have experienced the earthquakes, as well as the damage and reinforcement of their homes. We are studying their well-being, living environment, resilience, and their views on disaster management. Supervision team: Dr Elianne Zijlstra, Dr Wendy Post and Dr Inge van Balkom.
