Universitair docent

My research is aimed at understanding and improving human walking in healthy and clinical populations, such as stroke and Parkinson's Disease. Students working with me gain insight into neuromechanical, experimental and computational methods to study walking impairments. We apply this to clinical populations, especially individuals with central neurological disorders. Students work with neuromechanical models, practise interpreting clinical movement data, and reflect on how this connects to rehabilitation and neurology in collaboration with clinical and scientific experts.
