Expertise
Tessa joined the Groningen Centre for Health Law in October 2024 as a PhD candidate on the alcohol regulation project, where she is researching the optimal balance between allowing, regulating and prohibiting the use, sale and distribution of alcohol on both national and international regulatory level. Before starting her PhD, Tessa obtained a Master's degree in international law from the Geneva Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (2023) and a bachelor's degree in Dutch law from Utrecht University (2020). She holds a chef's qualification (SVH Kok, 2024), interned in the Human Rights Team of the Netherlands Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva (2022) and in the European Parliament's Research Service in Brussels (2021), and coordinated the Good COVID-19 Company Practices project of the Pharmaceutical Accountabilty Foundation in 2020-2021.
