At the subsection of Medical Physiology at the Department of Biomedical Sciences, I teach basic and exercise physiology, combining theoretical instruction with hands-on learning in the medical physiology lab. My students—primarily Medicine, Dentistry and Human Movement Sciences—actively engage with physiological concepts through experiential learning.

Through my Comenius project, we develop interdisciplinary learning communities where students, educators, and professionals collaborate on complex cases related to cardiopulmonary exercise testing and healthy exercise. This approach strengthens the connection between academic education and professional practice, and supports the implementation of Exercise is Medicine.

In my teaching at Human Movement Sciences, I also focus on the interaction between physiology and psychology in endurance sports. I guide students in understanding the foundations of overtraining prevention by analyzing athlete data, linking training practices to scientific research, and developing strategies to monitor and support athletes effectively.
