Dr. Leonieke Bolderman is Assistant Professor Geographies of Media, Heritage and Culture at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. Her research concerns the role of art, heritage and tourism in urban and regional development, as well as qualitative research methods. Besides research articles, she has published the monograph Contemporary Music Tourism: A Theory of Musical Topophilia (Routledge, 2020), the co-edited collection Locating Imagination in Popular Culture: Place, Tourism and Belonging (Routledge, 2021), and she was co-editor of the special issue A Chrono-urbanist Approach to Arts and Culture for Cities.
