I initially graduated as as non-Western demographer. Later in life, I completed an MA in English Language and Culture. I am a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and a certified Intercultural Trainer.

In 2013 I joined Birmingham International Academy at the University of Birmingham, where I worked as a programme coordinator, curriculum developer, and English for Academic Purposes tutor. I also acted as BIA’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity champion.

In 2022, I moved to the UG, first teaching Academic English Skills at the Language Centre. I'm now employed as an Educational Development Officer Diversity and Inclusion and part of the Skills Team at FEB. I have a special interest in internationalisation, inclusive education, and intercultural learning and teaching.
