drs. R.F. (Rina) de Vries

I initially graduated as as non-Western demographer. Later in life, I completed an MA in English Language and Culture. I am a Senior Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and a certified Intercultural Trainer.
In 2013 I joined Birmingham International Academy at the University of Birmingham, where I worked as a programme coordinator, curriculum developer, and English for Academic Purposes tutor. I also acted as BIA’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity champion.
In 2022, I moved to the UG, first teaching Academic English Skills at the Language Centre. I'm now employed as an Educational Developer at TAG and trainer at the Skills Team at FEB. I have a special interest in internationalisation, inclusive education, and intercultural learning and teaching.
