There is a pressing need “to bring unconventional and radical perspectives into the debate on possible solutions” (Vivero-Pol 2013, 3) to ignite a change in the individual’s attitude towards food production and consumption and accordingly, a mindset change of actors involved to foster more sustainable food cultures. My resreach project proposes a site-specific approach to sustainable food practices which centres on the importance of culture and human values that are rooted within it. The core aim of my reserach is to evaluate the impact of artistic initiatives designed to enhance awareness of sustainable (local) agricultural practices in relation to landscape.
