Dr. Priya Vart leads research in nephrology and geriatric pharmacoepidemiology, with a focus on improving the relevance and patient-centredness of pharmacological evidence in kidney care and on strengthening its translation into routine clinical practice. His work involves the evaluation of drug effectiveness, safety, and treatment burden in older and frail adults with chronic kidney disease, using clinical trial and observational data/real-world data. He also focuses on estimating the burden of chronic kidney disease and on improving the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical studies, with particular interest in ageing, multimorbidity, polypharmacy, and patient-reported outcomes.
