Expertise

With a background in developmental psychology, my research concerns the developmental processes of self and identity. In much of my research I adopt a complex dynamic systems approach. With this approach, I aim to undestand how identity can be understood as a situated and dynamic phenomenon. The contexts that I am primarily interested in are family and educational interactions. My research is inspired by critical psychology, discursive psychology, and philosophical psychology. Drawing from these approaches, my theoretical research largely examines the process ontology of self and identity. I am open to supervising PhD and postdoc projects that align with these interests.
