N.J.L. (Noor) Swart

In 2022, Noor Swart graduated with honours from the University of Groningen, earning a Master's degree in both Legal Research and International Human Rights Law. Since February 2022, Noor has been pursuing her PhD at the Department of Legal Methods, where she explores the right to freedom of peaceful assembly, particularly in situations in which it intersects with the rights of others. As part of her PhD, Noor was a visiting researcher at the University of East Anglia (UK) in November 2024. Furthermore, Noor has already secured several funded research projects on the right to protest during the course of her PhD.
