L.E. (Linden) Douma, MSc

PhD researcher

I do research into Subjective Wellbeing in older age. My research is part of the multidisciplinary research programme Healthy Ageing, Population & Society (HAPS). Healthy Ageing is a focus area of research for the University of Groningen and the University Medical Centre Groningen.

I am also involved in the following projects in cooperation with others:

- Duurzame Ouderenparticipatie Opwierde (Appingedam)

As part of my research, we recently started a community-based participatory research project in Opwierde (Appingedam) in collaboration with the University Medical Center Groningen. In this project we work closely together with twenty-three older inhabitants of this neighbourhood in order to not only gain a detailed understanding of subjective wellbeing in older age, but also to develop and implement interventions to improve the wellbeing of the older community members.

- Use of healthcare by diabetics : An exploratory research in East-Groningen

Main researchers: Sanne Visser and Linden Douma

This research is carried out at the request of Masterprogramma Zorg voor de Toekomst Noord- en Oost-Groningen.
