dr. K. Haslinger

Assistant Professor for Pharmaceutical Biology
dr. K. Haslinger

Research in the Haslinger lab focusses on the engineering of microbial cell factories for the production of natural products with pharmaceutical applications. The two main lines of research are (1) the computational mining of genome sequences for biosynthetic enzymes and pathways, including the de novo genome sequencing and assembly of microbes inhabiting medicinal plants; and (2) the design and engineering of recombinant pathways in model organisms such as Escherichia coli and baker’s yeast.

We are looking for motivated Postdoc candidates to support ongoing projects and/or develop new research projects by acquiring external funding. In particular applications from candidates with training and interest in bioinformatics are encouraged.
