Jorien Zevenberg (1985) works as a lecturer at the Science & Society Group (SSG), which is part of the Energy and Sustainability Research Institute Groningen (ESRIG) of the University of Groningen. She studied biology and science communication and in her master's thesis (2009) she researched the policy, social embedment, knowledge, liability and control in National Parks in the Netherlands. Besides teaching students about the societal and ethical aspects of biology and coordinating the minor programme People, Planet, Profit, she is working on a PhD-research on the recent developments in the policy, shifting legitimation and governance of national parks in the Netherlands, Belgium and the United States.
