J.W. (Sjaak) Tromp Meesters

I am a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen. The subject of my PhD is place-based economic development in Europe, with a particular focus on the Cohesion Policy of the EU. I use both quantitative and qualitative research methods, as well as mixed-methods approaches. Previously I worked at the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs as a trainee. Afterwards, I gained experience as a policy evaluator working for a consultancy.

I hold two Master's degrees, one in Economics (UGhent) and the other in International Relations (UAntwerp), as well as a Bachelor's degree in Political Science (KU Leuven).
