J. (Jelmer) Sjollema

Universitair docent

Jelmer Sjollema, PhD, is assistant professor and principal investigator at the University Medical Center Groningen in the Netherlands. Originally educated as a physicist he did his PhD on imaging and modelling of bacterial depostion. Later he entered into industry and got several positions in consultancy and management. In 2009 he returned to the University of Groningen. His main scientific focus is the development and validation of imaging technologies in the study of Biomaterial Associated Infections.
