My dissertation consists of the following projects

• The relevance of heterogeneity among institutional investors for firm outcomes
• Monitoring from a cultural distance: the effect of investor cultural diversity on agency problems
• Temporal framing and informal institutions: Explaining cross-national variation in the disclosed time orientation of firms

The dissertation in general explores how characteristics of institutional shareholders influence firm outcomes.

Current projects focus on corporate disclosures and their informational content, specifically in the context of ESG reporting. Data-wise this is supported by Finnhub Stock API and Financial Co-pilot.
