prof. dr. J.M. Berk
Jan Marc Berk (Den Haag, 1964) holds masters degrees in macroeconomics from Erasmus University Rotterdam (1987) and in financial economics from Tilburg University (1997). He received his PhD from Groningen University in 1998. He is currently professor money and banking at Groningen University, director Economic Policy & Research at De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB, Dutch central bank) and independent crown member of the Sociaal Economische Raad (SER). Previous appointments include head of research of DNB, associate professor money and banking at Free University Amsterdam (VU) and research Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute.
