I.T.J. (Ingo) Bousema, MSc

Ingo Bousema (1994) is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Spatial and Environmental Planning of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences at the University of Groningen (RUG). As a postdoctoral researcher, he is enriching knowledge and expertise in managing projects, programs, and portfolios, commissioned by Rijkswaterstaat (the Dutch Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management). He holds a BSc in Social Geography (Utrecht University) and an MSc in Spatial Planning (Radboud University). During his Master's program, Ingo specialized in cities, water, and climate change. He also took courses at the University of Victoria in Canada and gained practical experience as an intern at TNO and the Municipality of The Hague. From 2020 to 2026, he conducted PhD research on institutional adaptation in Dutch land use and transportation planning programs. From 2024 to 2026, he worked as an Infrastructure Program Manager at the Province of Groningen.
