dr. H. (Hans) Timmerman

Hans Timmerman studied physiotherapy in Nijmegen (1986-1990) and physiotherapy science at Utrecht University (2003-2007). He did his PhD research at the department of anaesthesiology, pain and palliative medicine at the Radboudumc in Nijmegen. Since June 2019 he is working as a postdoc researcher at the University Medical Center Groningen at the Department of Anesthesiology, Pain Center. In this role, he mainly focuses on research into pain, the sensory and motor manifestations of pain, central and peripheral sensitization and objective pain measurements.

Title dissertation: PINS AND NEEDLES, FACTS AND FEELINGS. The efficacy of screening tools for neuropathic pain in daily clinical practice.
