S.H. (Hamidreza) Mohades Kasaei, PhD

Assistant Professor

My research interest lies at the intersection of machine learning, robotics, and machine vision. My goal is to achieve a breakthrough by enabling robots to conceptualize new object categories and grasp affordances incrementally using a new type of open-ended machine-learning technique. In particular, I have been developing a cognitive robot system that can help us with a variety of tasks in various domains like healthcare, agriculture, rehabilitation, etc. Such a system enables robots to rapidly adapt to new environments by learning how to perform complex manipulation tasks and conceptualizing new object categories in an open-ended fashion. This idea has been refined and expanded upon since I began my academic journey. Please check my webpage and my research group activities (IRL-Lab) if you want to know more about me and my work.

My full list of publications and corresponding BibTeX files can be found on my Google Scholar account.
