Expertise

Broadly speaking, my research centres on understanding the motivations behind advantaged group members behaving both anti- and pro-socially towards disadvantaged groups, utilising quantitative methods. In particular, I strive to uncover ways of enhancing conditions for disadvantaged groups by gaining insight into the foundations of solidarity and enmity among the advantaged. With this in mind, my doctoral project focuses on exploring the appraisal and emotional underpinnings of solidarity-based collective action.

Furthermore, my other research interests encompass intergroup conspiracy beliefs, collective violence, group-based norms and dissent, as well as social identity and system justification processes.

I conduct my PhD studies under the supervision of Prof Dr Ernestine H. Gordijn and Dr Yasin Koç.
