About me:
My research contributes to the transition towards regenerative agriculture as part of the national ReGeNL project. Taking a psychological perspective, I research how sustainable policies can either support or hinder farmers' participation in this transition. My work focuses on understanding the behavioral and institutional factors that shape farmers' adoption of sustainable agricultural practices and identifying ways to facilitate meaningful change.
My research:
– Exploring the opportunities, capabilities, and motivations that influence farmers' adoption of sustainable policies
– Examining the role of institutional trust in farmers' decision-making regarding participation in sustainable policies
– Designing and evaluating interventions that support farmers in engaging with sustainable policies
Background:
Prior to my current research, I completed a master's thesis on voluntary employee green behavior, exploring the factors that motivate environmentally responsible actions in the workplace. I also gained professional experience in sustainability management within an online marketplace environment.
I hold an MSc in Sustainable Entrepreneurship from University of Groningen, Campus Fryslân and a BSc in Coastal and Marine Management from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences.
