I am currently working in the lab of Prof. Mariët Hagedoorn, 'Intimate relationships in the face of illness' where I investigate dyadic coping with cancer-related fatigue in colorectal cancer survivors and their partners. This study aims to understand the effects of daily cognitions and partner interactions on the patient's fatigue interference and the couple's relationship.

My general research interest is directed towards understanding and fostering the psychosocial adjustment of cancer patient's and their closes ones. First and foremost, I am very much motivated by and committed to conducting cutting-edge research that informs clinical practice to benefit the health and psychosocial well-being of patients, their partners and families.

Other positions

Coordinating researcher at the Psychiatry department (ICPE), July 2017 - February 2018: In my concurrent position as coordinating researcher of the i-CASE study at the Psychiatry department, I coordinated and conducted research on the dynamic temporal interplay of cognitive decline, depressive symptoms and patterns of sleep in the elderly.
