drs. F.L. Elvers

I am a doctoral researcher (MD-PhD program) at the University of Groningen, where I conduct translational research on thrombosis, hemostasis and anticoagulation in liver disease. My work specifically focuses on understanding prothrombotic abnormalities in patients with liver disease and undergoing liver transplantation, combining laboratory-based research with clinical relevance. I have authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, presented my research at international conferences including ISTH and EASL, and received a competitive €100,000 MD-PhD scholarship. Alongside my research, I have gained clinical experience across the Netherlands, Germany, and Sierra Leone, taught and mentored medical students, and served as a scientific peer-reviewer for Elsevier.
