E.A. (Euan) Young, MSc

I am currently researching the quantitative genetics of human life history, asking questions such as "why do we age?" and "why do some of us age faster than others?"
To explore these questions I will be working within a quantitative genetics framework using two historical datasets of humans from rural Finland and the Swiss canton of Glarus. In particular, I am interested in the life history trade-offs underlying senescence; the interaction of genetic and environmental factors on senescence patterns; and how these changed across the demographic transition.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to email me at e.a.young@rug.nl
