C.Y. (Chieh-Yu) Lee, MSc

PhD Candidate in Environmental Psychology

Chieh-Yu Lee (李婕宇) is currently doing her PhD in Environmental Psychology at University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan) in 2013 and a Master of Science in Cognitive Science also at National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan) in 2015, specialised in organisational psychology, trust between leaders and subordinates. In 2018, she obtained her Master’s degree in Environmental Psychology at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands), where she studied the effectiveness of an intervention on waste reduction.

She worked in a consultancy company in 2019, where she conducted case study on global circular economy projects. Afterwards, she worked in an gaming industry to investigate gamers' social interaction and problem-solving skills in small groups, and apply it into job recruiting process.

She is now working with political scientist, economists, and engineers in an EU project. She has been working on a fairness framework and applying it to climate change mitigation policies. She is developing her research to better understand the fundamental principles of distributive fairness and its relationship with the acceptability of net-zero systems and policies, such as phasing out natural gas and adopting negative emission technology.
