prof. dr. A.S. Lehmann
Lehmann studied art history at the of Universities of Vienna and Utrecht, where she received her PhD with the dissertation “In the Flesh. Jan van Eyck’s Adam and Eve Panels and the Making of the Northern Nude”. In 2002 she became assistant professor at the Department of Media & Culture Studies at Utrecht, where she helped to build the international MA programme New Media & Digital Culture. Lehmann received an NWO Veni grant and fellowships at the Getty Research Institute, the Max Planck-Institute for the History of Science (Berlin), and the excellency cluster Bildevidenz (FU Berlin). She has been a reviewer for NWO, AHRC, the Getty Research Institute, DFG and FWO. She is editor in chief of the forthcoming series "Studies in Art and Materiality" (Brill Publishers), and a member of the editorial boards of the Netherlands Yearbook for History of Art, Kunstschrift, and the advisory board of the Zeitschrift für Geschlechterforschung und visuelle Kultur.
