Expertise
The political-economic conditions under which health systems operate determine their capacity to guarantee equitable and universal healthcare. I study how governance arrangements and fiscal frameworks structure avoidable health and healthcare disparities across European health systems. My methods span conceptual framework development, econometric panel analysis, comparative policy analysis, and participatory co-design. Current work addresses fiscal space for health in the Netherlands, health system preparedness, and health planning under multiple crises.
