As a diplomat for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I worked on international development cooperation in the MENA region and Horn of Africa. In 2023, I co-founded Fikra: a Palestinian literary magazine that publishes essays, short stories, poetry, and visual art in Arabic and English. It has an online presence for continuous publication and annually releases a print edition (available in bookstores worldwide) with its top 10 stories and visual art. From our office in Ramallah, I was responsible for the editorial policy and the management of 10-20 freelance editors and translators.
