Heinrich coordinates the Master's thesis classes for the Journalism Programmes at RUG and supervises 3 to 5 MA theses every year. She has experience in PhD supervision and is part of the "International Classroom" initiative at RUG. Her areas of expertise include: global journalism, global conflict reporting, alternative journalism and digital disinformation.
