Medicine and Public Health
The Science Shop for Medicine and Public Health collects scientific questions from society (residents and social organizations) and answers them using scientific knowledge.
In our society, there are sometimes questions that require research to be answered, but for which no research budget is available to actually get started (and for which a Google search or ChatGPT does not provide an answer). A question that requires research to be answered is a scientific question. Do you have a scientific question about the human body, about health, about a disease, or about the treatment of a disease? That’s exactly what the Science Shop for Medicine and Public Health is for! Together with bachelor’s and master’s students from Groningen, the Science Shop conducts the research free of charge. In this way, students learn how to carry out research that benefits residents and social organizations. In short, a "win-win situation."
