Account and password
Each student and staff member has a general user account, is allocated an individual number (an 'S number' or ‘P number’) and a password. The account is secured by Multi-factor Authentication (MFA): in addition to the password, you use a code generated by an app on your phone when you log in.
You can use this account for many different services, such as logging in to the Student Portal, Brightspace, Google Apps, Wi-Fi and the University Library website. Staff members can also use it to log in to MyUniversity and AFAS.
Have you forgotten or want to change your password?
If you have forgotten or want to change your password, you can reset it through the Password Self Service.
