What does your life look like when you become a scientist? Twelve PhD students will report on their daily lives in science, in videos and blogs. They conduct research at various Dutch universities on topics such as hip-hop and Dutch identity, the brains of MS patients, female voices in the history of philosophy, and what happens to migrants when they are expelled from Europe.

Annemarie Maan, PhD student in the group of Marleen Kamperman, has been selected to talk about her work as a (polymer) chemist. In her PhD project she studies how polymer coatings can prevent dirt from sticking to surfaces.

The full list of the twelve new faces of science is published here including a small glimpse on their research. In the future they will blog on facesofscience.nl about their life as researchers.
