M. (Manoela) Carpenedo Rodrigues, PhD
Carpenedo is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Religion, Culture, and Society dedicated to understanding grassroots Christian movements and their intersections with culture, identity, and politics in the global South. Social scientist and ethnographer, her research focuses on themes related to the growth of Christian Zionism and Judaizing forms of Christianity, Christian political mobilization, and modalities of Christian religious extremism.
At YAG Carpenedo aims to develop new approaches for connecting academia and society, particularly by bridging the realities of the Global South and the Global North. She also would like to develop projects on topics related to religion, ethnic diversity, and gender.
