Dr. J. (Julian) Koellermeier
Dr. Julian Koellermeier works on mathematical models for atmospheric entry and tsunamis. He is an Assistant Professor in Computational Mathematics at the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Previously, he held positions at KU Leuven, Peking University, and Free University Berlin after obtaining his PhD from RWTH Aachen University.
As a new YAG member, Julian wants to address the problem of increasing mental stress and pressure for researchers. Besides that, Julian is passionate about science communication, has participated in many outreach activities, and won several communication awards. He therefore aims at promoting public engagement from within the YAG.
