Summary of the project

In this project, we study the meanings of the home and neighbourhood/ community. Specifically, we look at: 1) hoe stroke survivors engage in home- and place making; 3) how stroke survivors move between different places and 3) how they experience the transition between rehabilitation clinic and home. We study these topics by adopting qualitative and mixed-methods. For instance, we conduct in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with stroke survivors and their informal caregivers, both at the rehabilitation clinic and at home. Also, we use in-depth interviews in combination with GPS-tracking and activity diaries.
