Micro-grids expertise at the University of Groningen

Expertise on smart grids keeps developing at the University of Groningen. Four PhD students will take part in a research programme on smart grids, two of them joining a team led by Arjan van der Schaft and Claudio De Persis, ITM, at the University of Groningen.

In the framework of a collaboration with India ( NWO-DST), two PhDs will work in the Netherlands and two will do research in India on the topic of micro-grids--smart grids for a neighbourhood or village. The research project is led collaboratively by Prof Arjan van der Schaft, RUG and Prof Harish Pillai, IIT Bombay. Funding for this work is provided by the Top Sector Energy.
