
Daniel Steinberg Early Career Investigator Award and the Irvine Page Award for Marit Westerterp


Marit Westerterp PhD has been awarded the Daniel Steinberg Early Career Investigator Award for her publication 'Deficiency of ATP-Binding Cassette Transporters A1 and G1 in Endothelial Cells Accelerates Atherosclerosis in Mice' in Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology 2016

She is invited to give a plenary lecture on her paper at the ATVB conference, May 4-6 2017, Minneapolis, USA.
The Irvine Page Award was based on her CV and outstanding oral presentation on how cholesterol accumulation enhances inflammation in macrophages, contributing to atherosclerosis.
