Launching the Open Education Community of Practice
When: | We 29-10-2025 13:00 - 17:00 |
Where: | To be confirmed |
On 29 October 2025, 13:00 - 17:00 (location to be confirmed), the University of Groningen will launch the Open Education Community of Practice, a joint initiative of the Open Science Programme, the Teaching Academy Groningen, and the Npuls OpenUp project.
The community will bring together staff from across the university, to advance and promote Open Education. Its central aims are to connect colleagues, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and practices, and drive tangible change to sustainably embed Open Education in the culture of the University of Groningen.
Participation is open to all: from those who are new to teaching to colleagues with decades of experience, and from those just exploring Open Education to those already actively involved.
The launch meeting will focus on three themes:
-
The current state of affairs in Open Education at UG.
-
Setting up an incubator fund to fund innovative Open Educational activities.
-
Strategies for achieving institutional impact by embedding Open Education sustainably in the culture of education at UG.
We will round off the session with some networking drinks and bites, so make sure you sign up before 20 October, 15:00.
We warmly invite you to join this university-wide initiative and help shape the future of teaching and learning at UG.
