Until:Su 24-08-2025
Where:Bouwurk, Oldehoofsterkerkhof, 8911 DH Leeuwarden

In her PhD research ‘Rethinking the future of our personal digital heritage’, Marije Miedema captures existing and expected strategies for digital preservation, in which she critically examines the role of digitalisation in the global ecological crisis. This led to a fascinating collaboration with Collective PLOECH EN EIDE. In addition to the larger connections, she pays a lot of attention to the individual perspective. She conducted research with visitors from Netwerk Centrum De Klomp in Leeuwarden. A place where everyone who walks in is always welcome.

From the material she collected there, Mees van den Bergh from theater collective PLOECH EN EIDE made a series of short monologues about the traces that a human life makes. After the stories have been shared with the visitors of De Klomp, the installation can be heard from June 29 to August 24 as part of the 100-day cultural program Arcadia in Friesland. The stories can be heard there for free every day in Bouwwurk on the Oldehoofsterkerkhof. The presentation of the installation is on Sunday June 29 during the 'Zindagmiddag' in Bouwwurk where Marije and Mees will join the Talkshow from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
