German Foreign Policy: Historical Memory and Contemporary Re-imaginations
Understanding foreign policy as a contentious practice constantly mediating the inside and the outside of the modern state, this project seeks to explore the temporal and spatial imaginations that enable and delimit horizons of possibility in contemporary foreign policy.
German foreign policy serves as the primary empirical referent, with a particular focus on historical memory (re-imaginations of the temporal horizon of foreign policy) and the return, transformation and contestation of gepolitics(spatial re-imaginations)
