Research Centre for the Study of Democratic Cultures and Politics (DemCP)

The newly founded Research Centre for the Study of Democratic Cultures and Politics is dedicated to the production of knowledge about the vast transformations democrating societies around the globe are facing today.

Research Centre for Historical Studies (CHS)

The CHS supports, promotes and conducts interdisciplinary research on history and culture from Classical Antiquity to the present day, focusing on sustainable societies, networks, regions, and mobility.

Centre for International Relations Research (CIRR)

Research at CIRR focuses on orders of governance in relation to world politics, world economy, and societal identities.

Research Centre for Media and Journalism Studies (CMJS)

Researchers at CMJS explore media production, texts and audience practices, media platforms and technologies and their impact on an increasingly mediated society.

Former: Research Center for the Americas (RCA)

Per 1 February 2019 the RCA's researchers have become part of the newly formed Research Centre for the Study of Democratic Cultures and Politics (above).

Research at RCA focused on the role of the wider American hemisphere, including both North America and Latin America as a major force in the evolving history and modernity of the western world.
